Design the intelligence layer that connects every Pura Health module into one experience

A solo vision piece — defining what the Pura Health platform looks and feels like from the top down.

Problem

Powerful modules. No connective tissue.

Nutrition, Genomics, Care Plans — each module worked in isolation. There was no unified home, no shared AI layer, and no single surface that made sense of a user's full health picture.

Goal

Build the Global layer — the home every module reports to

Design the overarching platform experience: a home that adapts to each user's active health journeys, an AI companion that connects data across modules, and a booking system that brings care within reach.

Role

Lead Product Designer — solo vision piece

End-to-end ownership across all surfaces. This work was presented to C-level stakeholders and used as the strategic and visual reference for the platform's future direction.

Global is the intelligence layer that sits above every module — connecting your health data, your care history, and your daily actions into a single experience that already knows what you need before you ask.

This was a solo vision piece — no brief, no constraints, just a blank canvas and a question: what does Pura Health look like when it all comes together? The answer became the strategic foundation for the entire platform, and the visual language that continues to be built upon today.

Product Architecture

The navigation is as intelligent as the product itself.

Most health apps give every user the same menu. Pura Global doesn't. The architecture operates on three distinct layers — a Global Nav for deep access to your full health history and active modules, persistent Global Elements that follow you everywhere (your Pura Score, your AI companion, your account), and a Local Bottom Nav that changes depending on where you are. In Nutrition, it shows nutrition options. In Genomics, genomics options. The product always knows where you are — and surfaces only what's relevant.

Agentic Onboarding

The AI companion isn't a feature inside the app. It's the front door.

Before a user sees a single module, the AI has already identified who they are, where they've come from, synced their medical history, and connected their wearable. By the time they land on the Global home, the product already knows them.

This wasn't designed as a form. It was designed as a conversation. Every step feels like the product is already working for you — before you've even made a single choice.

The Global Home

Three tabs. One complete picture of your health.

The Global home is the first screen every user sees when they open Pura Health. It is structured around three tabs — Today, Plan, and Shortcuts — each serving a distinct purpose, each drawing from every active module the user is enrolled in.

Everything the user needs to act on right now — calorie hero stat, macro progress, recovery alerts, upcoming appointments, and a personalised daily plan. Pura Score sits persistently in the top bar.

Plan

The long-term view. A health plan built on DNA, blood tests, and daily patterns — with weight progress, weekly focus, and a Morning / Afternoon / Evening schedule.

Shortcuts

A user-configured surface that adapts to each active health journey — pin the actions, insights, and modules you use most.

The Agentic Experience

One tap. Every health journey, kept up to date.

Accessible via a FAB button from anywhere in the app, the agentic experience is the standout feature of the Global vision. The AI companion surfaces connections across modules — patterns your data reveals that no single module could detect on its own.

The Pura Score is Pura Health's core motivational metric — an estimate of the healthy years a user can expect to live. Every module, every action, every log feeds into it. The agentic experience makes that connection visible in real time.

Healthcare access is one of the most friction-heavy experiences in any health platform. The Global booking flow was designed to remove that friction entirely — from the moment a user decides they need care to the moment they have a confirmed appointment with the right specialist.

Online and In-person tabs. Each specialist card shows specialty, name, languages, years of experience, and earliest available slot
